Disney Challenge- Fantasia

So here is the next film in the Disney Challenge that I am taking part in. Today's film is Fantasia, a film that i'm not sure if I like or not. I think it is because it is so different to all the other films.

For those of you who arn't sure what this film is about (shame on you) i've copied some Wikipedia content for you: Fantasia is a 1940 American animated film produced by Walt Disney and released by Walt Disney Productions. With story direction by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer, and production supervision by Ben Sharpsteen, it is the third feature in the Disney animated features canon. The film consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski; seven of which are performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Music critic and composer Deems Taylor acts as the film's Master of Ceremonies, who introduces each segment in live action interstitial scenes.

So here is my manicure:

So this manicure is base on Mickey  Mouse and his iconic outfit from this film.

So of course the basis of this manicure is Red and Blue. I used a base of Barry M Matte White on my nails and then applied two coats of a mixed red and blue (and silver holographic) glitter which is a brand new released polish my Barry M called Jeweled Britannia. This polish was specially released for 2012 and the  Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympics (the irony of using a very British polish on a quintessentially American franchise isn't lost on me either!) . Currently you cannot buy this polish in store only on line at I then used Barry M Cobalt and Gold Foil to create a moon as worn on Mickey's Hat and then free-handed a silhouette with W7 Black onto a background of Barry M Bright Red.

I really like this manicure, the glitter and bright colours make it fun but also abstract at the same time!

Here is a list of the other ladies taking part with me:

Ana Cris

Lansy Hairath

Marta Martiti

Becky Torres

La NiƱa Topo

Kerrie (thats me!)
