Red and Black Week: W7 Lava Flow

I hope you enjoyed the first installment of Red and Black week yesterday. Today I have a completely different, but just as awesome polish to show you all. Interestingly this is the only non-indie I am showing you this week, but the colour combination reminds me alot of polishes I have seen over on Etsy.

This is W7 Lava Flow, a white creme/jelly polish with matte black and metallic red glitter. This polish was part of the Summer collection and came out at the same time as Mosaic and Salt N' Pepper. It is similar in theory to the Nails Inc Sprinkles collection.

I am not normally a big fan of white polish, it does nothing for my skintone and I find isn't always that flattering to short nails. However despite this is really love this polish. The jelly consistency of the white polish means that the glitter looks submerged in soft cloudy marshmellow create a instant jelly sandwich effect. I am also madly in love with matte glitter at the moment and only wish that the red glitter was matte too. Also W7 found the magic equilibrium with this polish between glitter and base. Every dip in the bottle brings out lots of glitter yet it isn't over-saturated  and you can clearly see the base.

For complete coverage I used two coats of this polish but you could get away with one if you wore a white base colour underneath. You may think that this polish would dry gritty but actually it dries very smooth to the touch. Like always I use my trusty top coat on top though!

It's nice to see a UK highstreet brand leading the way with a new  fashion trend. I hope we soon see more matte glitter over here soon!
