Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Hatched for WSPD

Today the 10th of September marks a very important day and a cause that is very close to my heart. World Suicide Prevention Day is a worldwide commitment to helping to support those  who have mental health issues, suicidal tendencies and the families of those affected by Suicide. I hate to bash you with statistics but on average, almost 3000 people commit suicide daily. For every person who completes a suicide, 20 or more may attempt to end their lives. Isn't that just terrible? You can find out more about this and show your support  here.

WSPD is marked by wearing Yellow or by simply writing "LOVE" on your forearm.

I decided to show my support with a simple Yellow Manicure:

This is Whimsical Ideas By Pam  in Hatched. Hatched is a buttery soft creme brulee yellow creme-jelly polish. Interspersed within is fuchsia, lavender and baby pink hex glitter as well as small  baby blue, pink and green micro glitter. My bottle also contained some sort of opalescent shards but I have not seen these in any other swatches.

This polish is a little thin this is three coats and there is still some visible nail line. However this means you get a jelly sandwich effect where you can see the glitter from the layer underneath! Also there was no need to fish for glitter with this polish, it coats the brush perfectly! As with all Pam's polishes it also  dries smoothly and with a topcoat has a lovely glassy finish.

This is such a subtle yet girly polish I really want to see this with a matte topcoat.

The theme for WSPD this year is "Suicide Prevention across the Globe: Strengthening Protective Factors and Instilling Hope".

Are you wearing yellow?

  1. so pretty Kerrie! Now I'm going to have to try mine! {{{{hugs}}}}

  2. Aw, what a great cause and such a lovely color polish!
