The Digit-al Dozen does Halloween: Glitterfied Zombies

I'm back with another installment of the Digit-al Dozen and this time it is in Conjunction with another Halloween Challenge I am taking part in.

Zombies! I am a mega Zombie Fan, they are the new Vampire's. Walking Dead and Plants Vs Zombies, need I say more? I decided to use one of my untried polishes for this challenge, Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains from her Halloween Collection because the name fits!

Gotta Love Brains is a sheer milky base with an assortment of different shaped pink, blue and iridescent white glitter.  I would say it is very simular to Revlon Whimsical or Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air although the milky base has a violet shimmer to it. I applied two coats of this over Barry M Grey. I think my base polish was a couple of shades too dark as although it lightened up considerably it created a almost streaky milky effect .  Although I quite like the effect it created as it gives the polish more depth.

Lynnderella polishes are always a bit of a nightmare to apply the glitter sinks quickly and I find myself shaking up the bottles after every finger. This is two coats and the glitter is pretty sparse, I managed to get one of the larger hexes on my first finger but the rest stayed put in the bottle.

(This photo gives GLB a more purplish hue)

My accent finger is Whimsical Ideas By Pam KeeWee a bright green jelly polish packed with spring green micro glitter (it also has bigger hex glitter but I deliberately didn't use any of these here). I'm not sure why but Zombie's always conjure up images of green to me so I knew I had to have some here.

I finished with a coat of Gosh Matte Top Coat because Zombie's shouldn't have glossy nails ( it is a fact they do love glitter though).  And in the words of Jeremy Clarkson on that bombshell... goodnight!
