C Varnish: Jello Shot

I love green polish, I know it's a hit and miss thing but for me it is love in a bottle. Today's polish by the wonderful C Varnish had to be mine as soon as I saw it and I am yet to see anything even close to this!

This beauty is Jello-Shot, a almost neon green with a slight olive tone with beautiful maroon hex glitter and cyan blue shreds. Lets take a quick look at a bottle shot shall we?

Doesn't it look great? I love the fact that Jen at C Varnish is very good with her colour combinations the maroon and green just look fantastic together and those bursts of blue just look great too. My shots seem to make it look rather like a pastel green but it is more like the bottle shot- far more intense in colour!

On the nail this polish looks great, the green base is slightly thinner in this polish than in some of the others I have swatched meaning that the glitter is always very prominent and not obstructed by the thicker base. There is also no need to 'fish' for glitter with this polish, even the bigger hex glitter comes out of the bottle easily. I used two coats of polish here on the nail to achieve this full coverage. Because of the bigger glitter in this polish I used two coats of topcoat just to smooth down any sharp edges and the glitter sat flat on the nail.

I really love those maroon glitter hex's, they really do look like they are suspended in Jello (Jelly to us Brits)! This polish is really great, I can wait to get my hands on a larger bottle of this!

So do you fancy owning your own bottle? The wonderful Jen has just restocked her Esty shop with (costing £4 each) but she also does great deals on mini bottles where you can pick which shades you want which hopefully she will be restocking soon. Don't forget you can also check out the C Varnish Facebook page for updates on upcoming collection! If you do pop buy C Varnish's store feel free to let Jen know that you heard about her here at PishPosh and Polish! (and let me know too, I would love to know what you order!)

What are your opinions on green polish? Will you be ordering this?

  1. I'm not so much a green polish person but I do think the green, maroon, and blue look great together!
