It is based on this picture I found on google that I really liked:
The tape on my thumb is a little bit ambiguous but you get the idea. I really like how simple this is but at the same time has a impact, you know exactly what it means. It is what I would call an 'easy on the eyes manicure'.
So now for the technical part, the base of this manicure is Color Club Uptown Girl from the 'Rebel Debutante' collection. Uptown Girl is a blush coloured polish with hints of violet. It has a kind of smokey quality to it which I really like. It makes it seem almost vintage. Like alot of Color Club polishes it is quite thin but easily builds opacity in three coats. I used a Sally Hansen nail art pen to draw my 'tape'.
I found the Sally Hansen pens very easy to work with and they create very thin lines. Sadly my topcoat did drag the letter slightly but never mind.
In all these nails really do make a statement don't they? No matter what type of music you listen to everyone loves some music. That is universal. Isn't that a nice thought?
