ABC Challenge... E is for Effervescent Opal

Today I am bringing you the next part of the Alphabet Polish Challenge. Bet you thought I would have given up by now? Today is the letter E. You can check out what Emma and Bee have chosen for this letter by following the links.

For my letter E I decided to use another untried polish, Revlon Effervescent Opal. Effervescent Opal is a pretty pink polish with lots of iridescent purple and cerise shimmer. I managed to haul this one in Pound World about six months ago.

This is a very feminine subtle colour. In fact it is so subtle that it needed four coats to reach the opacity in this photo, I really wanted to hide any VNL. I think this polish would look really pretty over a dark base colour though.

I think this polish is very clean and classic, it's compleatly different from my normal polish tastes. I wish I could have captured the pretty shimmer of this polish for you. You can kind of see it in the photo above as the nail curves round.

Beside the fact it was sheer,  application was very easy with this polish. It wasn't streaky and the polish seemed to settle and level well. I added a cute nail sticker, just because I couldn't bear such pink naked nails!

Do you have a fav polish starting with E? What do you think of the more 'classic' colours?

  1. That's a really pretty colour and the flower is a great touch! You can pick up some bargains in pound world. I managed to find 3 of my favourite Rimmel lasting finish polishes a few weeks ago!

  2. I absolutely love the alphabet challenge. I'm new to nail art (and not a nail blogger), but I have bought far too many polishes recently because of you temptresses :)

I got overwhelmed by my stash (as I have by my sewing stash), but the
ABC idea is brilliant. I'm currently up to J (nails inc st James - had to fudge a little) and taking a little break because my nails are in awful condition, but the new year will start with nails inc warwicK street (another fudge :)). I've enjoyed looking at all my polishes to find one suitable for each letter - I think my favourite is Sinful Colors "Cross My Heart" for X.
