Nails for Newtown

Today's mani is in honor of the innocent souls who lost their lives at the Shooting in an Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Hearing the news I had to fight back tears, I am not a mother but my youngest brother is about the same age as those poor children. My heart instantly went out to their families.

I am completely anti-gun, it baffles me why guns are needed in a developed and civilized society.

In the nail blogger community we are showing our support to the families of those who have lost loved ones so close to Christmas by wearing white.

I am not going to go into loads of detail about this manicure out of respect. I used Barry M matte white as a base and then used Kiko 298 (a blue shimmer polish) and Winmax Nail Sparks 09 (a pinky orange shimmer).

White is a symbol of the innocence and non-violence. My prayers are with all those who are affected.
