Matte Week: Matte Polka Dots

Today I have another matte-tastic post for you! This time I am doing simple polka dots. I am really digging the contrast between matte and glossy polish at the moment!

The base of this manicure is two coats of Rimmel Pro in Stormy Skies which I managed to snag (thanks to my sister) cheapy in Boots a few weeks back! Stormy Skies is a grey based blue and I really love it, it has a really vintage vibe. I have also got to mention how much I love the super wide 'maxi' brush these polish come with it is so easy to work with. This dries glossy anyway but I added a quick coat of Seche Vite anyway.  Once It was dry I used my dotting tool and Manglaze ILF.

As I mentioned yesterday I am a major fan of Manglaze's polishes. ILF is somehwere between a green, turquoise and a teal polish. I can't really make up my mind as to exactly what yet. But whatever it is, it is stunning and is filled with that yummy shimmer that I love.  I'm not sure if it was because this is a matte polish or not but I found ILF  a little harder to get precision with on the dotting tool. Some of my dots are a bit larger than I really wanted them but it still looks fab. I love this colour combination so much, it is a little more muted than yesterday's manicure!

I am so happy with the result of this manicure. Those shades were made for each other!

There are also some other wonderful ladies participating Matte Week this week with me. Go check out:

  1. That is a gorgeous mani, Kerrie.

I've seen manglaze about and am tempted by some of their colours.

  2. Simple and cool at the same time!

  3. O_O THIS IS SO PRETTTTTTY!!!! I love how the matte finish of ILF looks so much like a textured polish in the dots. This is fab! I will have to re-do this soon <3
