The DIGIT-al Dozen Does Book Week: Lord Of The Rings

I am so excited for book week with the lovely ladies from the Digit-al Dozen I just hope I can do all the books justice! This week there is a mixture of really popular books and some really obscure ones. I really recommend reading some of the lesser known ones!

Anyway this manicure has been done to death by a lot of far more skilled nail artists than I, but who cares? I love the Lord Of The Rings books. I read them when I was about 14 or 15 and was amazed by the world that was unfolding as I read. As an (mediocre at best) author myself, J RR Tolkien taught me alot about bringing a WORLD to life, not just the characters. It is a lesson I hope I have brought forward with me in my fiction writing.

This manicure is based on The One Ring. I have used two coats of Barry M gold Foil and then my black Barry M Nail Art Pen.

This manicure is based on the writing that appears on the One Ring when it is heated in the fire. Normally The Ring is completely featureless. Inscribed on the ring in Black Speech are the words:

"One Ring to rule them all, One ring to find them; One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."

Do you like my little Gandalf??

Don't forget the other ladies are doing book-based manicures too. Please go show them some love!

Have you read any of the Lord Of The Rings series?
