The Digit-al Dozen does Red, Gold and Green: It's a green kinda day!

Last year the Digit-al Dozen did festive manicures this year we have changed things up and the theme for December this time around is a little more abstract- Red, Gold and Green! This is great for me as I really can't get into the mood to do Christmas nail art. With Quirk  taking much so much of my time I find I am less inspired to do complex nail patterns. So this year's theme is actually quite freeing.

Today's nail art uses just one of the colours above- Green! I'm sure by now you know how much I love green polish!

This polish uses 365 Days of Color Trimming The Tree as my base. I actually bought this polish last year but it is the first time I am wearing it. Trimming The Tree is a mix of greeny glitters in a lovely squishy green jelly base. I used two coats on my nails to achieve opacity.  This is a really pretty polish and it applied really well and self leveled. To my surprise this polish is also strongly scented of pine trees!

I then used Barry M Jelly Key Lime and Revlon Emerald City to create a fun intersected look with some tape!

I love the mixture of the glitter, creme and matte polishes here, the different finishes really give it that extra something in my opinion!

Yes this may not be exactly very festive but the smell of pine trees certainly make up for that!

As always there are links to the rest of The Digit-al Dozen's manicures below!

  5. I love this, and especially love the combination of finishes, like you pointed out. I didn't even realize the Revlon was matte until the second photo -- really nice touch!
