Nail Supreme Nail Art Pens

I recieved some nail art pens to review from Presents For Men  aside from the slightly odd place these are from I was eager to try them out.

I recieved two packs of ten micro pens, which I think is there full range of colours in this pretty box.

Each pack has five double ended 'pens'.  The first pack contains the shimmers (above).

The second pack contained the creme colours plus gold and silver glitter. This is a great selection of colours for pretty much any basic nail artist.  I did find that some of the colours worked better than others. The cremes were most opaque while the shimmers were a little more watery as were the glitters. However we a bit of practice they were all workable.

You can see here a close up on the double sided pen, this one is a bright blue creme and a deep purple.  You can unscrew them in the middle so that when you are using the pen it is smaller and therefore easier to work with, which I think is a great touch.

When you unscrew the cap you get this very fine needle-like nib. You need to apply a small amount of pressure to the nib to get a find pearl of polish to draw with. I found the best way to work with the pens was a constant very light pressure so you don't get too much polish out at once.

You could also take off the top of the polish and you have a brush for full painting or larger detail.

My first design used the bottle green creme. I painted two nails fully with the polish. The polish was very opaque and only needed one coat. It also dried quickly and to a  ultra glossy finish which was a big bonus!  I then drew on a striped design onto my accent nails using the 'pen nib'.  You can see how my lines have gotten straighter as I progressed and I worked out the best way to apply pressure to the pen.

I then decided to have a go at writing. This is my favourite design using the black pen, I think it is very striking and looks really effective.

For my last design I drew 'doodle design' flowers using the shimmer polishes. You can see how they are a little thinner as you can see some of the glitter in the polish I used as a base underneath. This really doesn't bother me as it adds to the hand-drawn effect and if I wanted a more opaque colour I carefully have gone back over my lines.

In all I am really pleased with the quality of these pens, the polish inside is very good and highly pigmented and they are very manageable to work with once you have had a little practice.  The Nails Supreme Nail Art Pens are available from Presents For Men priced £19.99 per pack. I would really recommend these as this is pretty much a full nail art kit (I have used topcoat in all my photos and I would advise grabbing a bottle) and I think they would make a great gift for either a child or for anyone just starting out with nail art as well as those who are more experienced. Really a great all-rounder!

The inclusion of this graphic means that the product above was sent to me for review. All opinions are honest and all information is correct at the time of writing.
