The Digit-al Dozen does Decades: Tie-Dye Inspired

The Digit-al Dozen is back and this months theme is decade's. Today's post is quite simple but I wanted to re-try and technique that I haven't done in a while, namely dry marbling on the nail to create a tie-dye hippie inspired manicure.

I used a base of Lilypad Lacquer Lemon which is a true neon yellow gelly. In hindsight to make this pop I should have used a base coat of white but never mind. I really wanted to pick garish and bright colours for this so I then used a turquoise polish from Rimmel and Lilypad Lacquer Raspberry which I swirled around with a cocktail stick.

I love the fact they made this lilac colour in the middle!

Of course like always I topcoated this with Seche Vite to really smooth this manicure out and bring this crazy combination all together.

I will be back tomorrow with another decade inspired manicure, but if you can't wait that long check out the rest of the dozen using the links below!

  2. I contemplated this but have failed at tie dye too many times to give it a go. Well done for getting it right!
