MyPure Review: EcoTools Six Piece Starter Set

As much as I love makeup one thing I am certainly missing from my Arsenal of supplies is makeup brushes, hence why I chose to review some for my next round of reviews for MyPure.

So what a better set to choose than the EcoTools Starter Set ,  which includes 6 of your staple brushes.

First lets talk about the packaging, I like the fact there isn't alot of unnecessary packing especially  from such a natural and eco friendly brand.  The brushes come in this handy pouch which is perfect for storage which is made from cotton and hemp.  Even the poppers on the bag are from recylced materials! I love these little extra touches! Everything looks clean, neutral and organic and my first  impressions on these brushes is really high and postive.

The brushes themselves are made from bamboo and recycled materials and they are cruelty-free. The bamboo makes these brushes very lightweight which is fantastic as it means you really could carry all six brushes around with you in your handbag if you know you would be traveling for instance.

The set Includes the following, a Blush Brush, Eye Shading Brush, Angled Eyeliner Brush, Concealer Brush, Lash & Brow Groomer. Each brush has the name of what it is used for on the handle which is a really nice touch which I appreciate too.  The handles on these brushes are slightly on the shorter size but that makes them perfect for my smaller hands too!

The only additional brush I think I need that isn't included in this set is a foundation brush, however MyPure sell the Individual EcoTools foundation brush too so it is not too much of an issue!

I have been using these brushes for my daily makeup routine now for about a month and I really like them. They are super soft, most particularly the blush brush. My personal favourite brush has to be the eyeshadow brush as it is perfect  for loading loose eyeshadow or pigment on the lid, in a way that those spongy applicators you can get for eyeshadow can't do. The bristles are stuff enough yet at the same time are soft and supple when you are using them to apply your makeup. It is not as easy to blend your eyeshadow with this brush but does deliver high pigmentation.

The angled brush is perfect for gel eyeliner and I have almost perfected the cat-eye look with this brush!

I did find I had some slight shedding with these brushes when I used them, I think the best way to counteract this would be to wash them before you use them to get rid of any extra bristles!

In all I am really pleased with these brushes, maybe I will start showing you my FOTD now that I can apply my makeup slightly more professionally! As stated above you can buy these brushes and many other natural and organic products directly from MyPure.

The inclusion of this graphic means that the product above was sent to me for review. All opinions are honest and all information is correct at the time of writing. For more information please refer to my disclosure and PR policy.
