MyPure Review: FUNG Long johns

I am so excited by the new line of organic nail polishes available at MyPure who stock a massive range of beauty and makeup products all of which are natural, ethically sourced or organic. As this blog is primarily a nail polish blog I am really in my comfort zone reviewing such products!

I have heard of FUNG before on some other blogs but have never tried this brand, I am not sure how many stockists there are of FUNG here in the UK but I think it was a harder to find brand.

There is a huge range of different shades to choose from on the MyPure website (including some glitters and a duochrome) but I decided to try out a nice wintery theme creme polish called Long Johns. Yes the name made me smile and influenced my decision making process somewhat.

Let me start by saying how impressed I am with the formula of this polish, the creme was opaque in just one coat (out of  tradition I am wearing two but you really don't need to!) But it was easily workable and not too thick or awkward to paint with. The polish also dried really quickly and to a nice glossy finish. (Again more out of habit than anything I am wearing topcoat in my pictures)

Long Johns is described as a 'muted green' it is a blue toned sage green with lots of grey undertones. It is very chic and looks stormy and perfect for the winter yet at the same time is a bit edgy.

FNUG polishes contain silica and vitamin A, D, E, and B which all help to condition the nail. It almost does the job of wearing a strengthening base coat within the nail colour itself which I think is very clever.   All the polishes also contain caviar which according to the site "bring your nails the benefit of the high content of nutritious essential amino acids and minerals found in the micro eggs"  i find this a bit odd but it's not like you can see the caviar in the polish or anything so it really doesn't bother me.
FNUG Nail Polish like most big brands are also 3free and do not contain Formaldehyde, Toulene or Dibutyl Phthalate which can all be toxious.

The wear time on the polish was really great, they say it contains a chip-resistent formula and I really think that it adheres to the nails well. I am normally not lucky enough to get more than a day from my polish but I got three from this (so expect about 5ish for an average person!)

In all I am really impressed by this new brand and would certainly buy more in the future! While you are checking out the FUNG polishes be sure to see what else MyPure has to offer!

The product above was sent to me for review. All opinions are honest and all information is correct at the time of writing. For more information please refer to my disclosure and PR policy.
